Hello!

I am an artist working on personal and comissioned projects, more focused on video, performance and text.

I am particularly interested in projects involving cross- disciplinary approaches, writing, or mediums in between, so if this is you, let’s chat.

The same but not the same
Live performance, sound, text
Kevin Siwoff & Anita Marante

‘The same but not the same’ was a series of performances that collaged found words and sounds with percussion instruments and foley sounds, where spoken language was merged and dissolved into rhythm and tonality. Since 2020, artists Anita Marante and Kevin Siwoff have used different mediums to explore language and incorporate ideas of waste in their methodology. Their work has been described by writer Josh Mcloughlin as occupying a space “where conceptual intelligibility shades into affect.” (New Critique). As part of these live performances, they have produced shows for radio, exploring language’s fragmentation of meaning to produce sound and emotion. (Listen here)
