Thirty-one inches

video, 5’11”, variable dimensions; sculpture, acrylic. installation.
Thirty-one inches follows the narrative of a man addicted to social media and complaining. In a world where systems of measurement were hyjacked by anonimous artists, he observes his reality crumbling below his feet, trying to find a way of resurfacing among the restructure of systems that oppose to normative categorisations, control over bodies, and hierarchies of knowledge.

Below are some archeological objects that were collected after the collapse of structures mentioned in the video. These are believed to be prototypes. The identity of the group of artists who initiated them remains uncertain, as well as their real capacity to propel the desired social restructures.
